Logan and Jodie's Birthday!

Since we knew that August was going to be such a crazy month we combined our birthdays...three of them...into one party!  We did a movie party at the base theater and the kids loved it (and Matt, lol)!   They had a soda, popcorn,  Madagascar 3 as their movie, and all their good friends from N.C., and Grandmama!

Before their party and while they were still in p.j.'s they opened some of their gifts at home.

Then it was on to the movie theater!

Here are the kiddos in front of the marquee with their names on it!  They loved have their names flashing out front of the theater!

Funny story with the cakes...I felt like I had done so good remembering everything we needed for the party, kids are singing Happy Birthday and I even said blow our your candles, before I remembered I had forgotten the CANDLES!  Oh, well!  We will never forget this birthday.  They were sung to twice and the second time they were able to blow out candles...at home!

We had a great time!  Thank you to all that were able to come!  Thanks to all our family and friends, not nere u,s that wished the kiddos a happy birthday.  We love you all and miss you!

Georgia Trip

This summer we spent a good two weeks in Georgia.  GA is a definite favorite of our crew and since we knew a move to Cali was coming we wanted to get a good visit in!  We love, so much, spending time with family and friends, and hitting our local favorites!  Hate that we are not always able to see everyone, but we think of all of you!

First week, we were at my Mom's.  She has such a beautiful yard and home!  The kids love playing with the dogs, playing on the swing set, sitting and enjoying her back porch, and building huge lincoln log houses....plus all the other wonderful things we do there and locally! I was able to meet Trent's girl, Leslie, she is so sweet and Jodie was a fan...spending the next few days pretending to play dentist.  Mom even made greek salad...DELICIOUS! I love my mama and was glad to be at her house!

Dilon was even able to see his good buddy, Sam, while we were there!

Wish I had taken more pictures.  I guess just enjoying everything!

Stone Mountain! A favorite!

Watson Mill! The water felt so good.  A little low, but the kids loved it!

We so enjoyed our time at my Mom's!  We are missing her all the way over here in Cali!

Dilon, also, spent a week at her house a week before we came.  They took a lot of videos, but not many pictures.  They had a great time! Their favorite part was going to Fern Bank!

The second week in GA we were at Gran's house.  It was the first time in many years that everyone was together!  It was fun!  Matt was able to be here for this reunion (last one he was in Afghanistan).  He, thankfully, was able to be there more than we originally thought...Marine Corps was not completely clear on leave times, but we got it cleared up and he got to spend a lot more at his childhood home with his family!

Again, I did not take as many pictures as I had planned, but again was enjoying ourselves.  We went tubing, fishing, walking, swimming, boating, painted shirts for the fourth, and all kinds of wonderful activities that leave bathtubs dirty at the end of the day which equates to a good day!
