Piano Recital

The boys have spent the last year learning how to play the piano.  Our very sweet friend Christina Blood had offered to give them lessons.  They did such a good job and learned so much that I wanted a way for them to show what they had learned...so I put together a recital for them.  We put together little invitaions, made some musical note decorations, made some cupcakes with notes on them, and played in our backyard pool afterwards.

It went very well.  Here is Logan.  He played, "My Electric Car."

Here is Dilon.  He played, "Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam" and "Old Woman."

Christina also played for us...it was beautiful as well!

Glad they all shared such wonderful music with us!  Thanks for giving the boys their lessons!

Logan's Exhibition

The same weekend as Dilon's b-day, Logan had his Exhibition for gymnastics!!

He was a little nervous and not sure he wanted to still do it once he got there, but he did and did a great job!!  He has worked so hard and come such a long way. We were so proud of him to get up in front of such a large crowd and show everyone what he has done!  I had not seen his practice in over a month, because Logan had asked me to stop coming inside and wait in the car since I was evidently "bistracting him" (he meant distracting, lol).  I was surprised and impressed in what he had learned in that time! Logan is growing in to such a big guy!  We love you buddy!

Sorry, the pics are not very good, couldn't get in a good spot, was holding Jodie, and still have a lot to learn, lol!  Hope you can enjoy!
He is on the left, kind of behind the uneven bars pole.

On the rings.

On the tumble track doing high knee bends!

Receiving his medal!

Proud Daddy and Son!!!

Dilon's Party

Dilon had an Advenger birthday party.  We rented a bounce house, had some friends over, and really enjoyed ourselves.  Dilon pronounced, "that this was the best birthday ever!"  So glad he enjoyed himself.

As part of his party, instead of presents he asked for cat food to take to the humane society.  His wonderful friends still brought presents along with the cat food!  He also invited his primary teacher from last year, Sister Dennett, he loves her and she him!!  So glad the Neill's, Edward's, Jobe's, Blood's, and Grandmama could join us for his party!  He loved all the cards, phone calls, and messages from everyone else! It was a fun day for him!

Dilon's NINE!!

I cannot believe that my baby is nine, isn't that what we all say every year, but it is true!  We are so proud of him!  He is still sweet as ever and watching him grow into a young man is so much fun! He has a fun sense of humor and makes everyone feel good around him!

On his birthday, with his Daddy (YAY) and Grandmama (double YAY) here to celebrate we had his dinner of choice, tacos, and opened presents from us!

New Hair Due!!

Last week Jodie decided she needed a haircut...no (too much) of a biggie!  Had to admit it shocked me when she came out of the bathroom with her long locks all over the rug, mostly because it instantly made her look older, but it was cute!  Thankfully, my dear friend Leah is amazing with hair and so we went to her salon and she shaped it all up and it was looking cute!

Well, we came home and I started fixing dinner...maybe 10 minutes later I realized the bathroom door is shut, AHHHHH!  I forgot to put up the scissors!!! Though, I never thought she would go right back into the bathroom and cut again (that's what I get for thinking :))!  She had...she needed bangs and wanted it to be shorter.

So, the next day Leah came to my house, she even saved me the trip, and trimmed her hair back into shape.  I would never tell Jodie this, but Leah and I were impressed with how well she did...it was not a hack job, even her bangs were straight!!  She looks adorable no matter what!

Oh,  and the scissors have disappeared from sight in this Tolbert home!!
